MK v. State Secretary for Justice (1986) 94 ILR 357

A declaration from the ambassador or other competent authority regarding the diplomatic status of state assets must be accepted on its face.

The Dutch Council of State accepted a declaration from the Turkish Embassy that the money in the bank account was for the performance of embassy functions. It held that to require a further and more detailed account of the use of the account would amount, under international law, to an unjustified interference in the internal affairs of the mission.
