P was to purchase gas for fixed price from D. At time supply of gas was restricted and P had no alternative source to get gas. D purported to terminate contract. P brought motion for injunction


If you cant go into the market and buy a replacement, even if for an ordinary chattel, then specific performance (injunction) may be granted (treat the goods as unique). If damages are an inadequate remedy you can get the decree of specific performance or injunction.
